"‘Swami Rama of the Himalayas was one of the most influential spiritual teachers of the 20th century, spurring a surge of interest in yoga and meditation. Here two of Swami Rama’s closest students describe their experiences with this legendary master. Inspiring, entertaining, and often genuinely astonishing, this marvelous account offers a glimpse of a modern sage at work and at play.’—Linda Johnsen, author, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hinduism ‘There are very few first-hand accounts available to us about living with a Himalayan Master. In these two memoirs of their experiences with Swami Rama, Dr. Keshaviah, a medical scientist and householder with a family of four, and Kamal, Swami Rama's personal assistant, offer inspiring, fascinating, and at times challenging perspectives on his unique contributions to their external lives and their inner development. Equally inspiring, they also foretell of human potentials that may be available to us all, of a purpose to our lives, and of realms of inner development that can be easily overlooked in the pace and diversions of modern life. This is a wonderful resource to be read and re-read.’—Dr. John Clarke, former Chairman, Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy of the USA"
