About the Author

Dr Sweta Singh, MBBS, DGO, MRCOG (UK), ICOG, F.MAS, D.MAS, PhD (Sexology & Psychosexual Health), is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Delhi-NCR. With nearly two decades of clinical experience since graduating in 2007, she has cared for thousands of women, couples and young adults many of whom were silently suffering the consequences of inadequate sexual education and unsafe practices. Dr Singh also contributes to community education and medical training, integrating empathy with evidence-based knowledge. Her approach reflects her belief that health literacy must extend beyond physiology to include emotional and psychological understanding. Outside her professional life, she is an avid reader, a solanthophile and an animal lover who adopts and cares for maimed and abandoned animals. She also enjoys crocheting, scuba diving, music, movies, true crime, horror stories, fantasy books and series, and swimming. She believes that knowledge, like compassion, is meant to be shared fearlessly and with grace.
