About the Author

Anika Hussain was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, but now lives and writes in Bristol. She has made TV and radio appearances in Sweden, speaking about the impact writing has had on her life, the importance of representation, and her work with The Ministry of Storytelling. Anika is also a graduate of the Bath Spa MA Writing for Young People. When not writing, you can find Anika yelling at the TV about inconsistencies or listening to true-crime podcasts. She also loves corgis with a scary passion. Kate Forrester is illustrator based in Brighton, UK. For the past 15 years she has specialised in creating hand lettering and illustration for book covers, packaging, advertising and many other applications, telling stories through the combination of intricate decorative detail and her distinctive typographic designs. She collaborates with, from big name brands to small independent publishers. She has worked on a wide range of projects - giant murals chocolate bars, HGVs, pingpong paddles and everything in between! Her clients include: Penguin Random House, Scholastic Children’s Books, John Lewis, Innocent, Diet Coke, Chronicle Books, Hachette, Waitrose, Cafe Direct, Marks and Spencers, YouTube, Barclays, Crate & Barrell, Victoria’s Secret and Harvey Nichols.
