This book introduces readers to Indians who touched the peaks of greatness with their deeds and achievements. Indians who charted unknown terrains, made their tryst with their destinies and left their signatures in the halls of history.

50 Great Indians is an account of global icons, visionary scientists, social activists, cinema superstars, philanthropists, classical singers, dancers, writers, industrialists, humanitarians, sportspersons—all role models in their professions. Rachna Chhabria chronicles their lives, right from childhood, uncovering their early influences and how it shaped their personality and defined their goals. What was that one personality trait that differentiated them from the rest of society, setting them on the path of stupendous achievements that made us proud as a nation?
