David Shrier wrote his first artificial intelligence (AI) software program in 1991, and has been actively exploring the intersection of AI and society ever since. He is a globally recognised authority on technology-driven innovation, working with entrepreneurs, corporate innovators and governments around the world to build new systems that leverage AI and other tools to create greater inclusion and access for more people while improving efficiency and profitability. David holds a position as Professor of Practice in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at Imperial College Business School, after roles at MIT and University of Oxford. He is the CEO of two edtech companies, Adit EdTech (NYSE: ADEX) and Esme Learning. His recent books include Basic Blockchain (Little, Brown, 2020) and Trusted Data (MIT Press, 2019).
