AYN RAND BOOKS

Ayn Rand was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, and political thinker best known for her influential novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Born in 1905 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, she witnessed the Russian Revolution and its aftermath, which deeply shaped her worldview. Emigrating to the United States in 1926, Rand developed a philosophical system she called Objectivism, centered on rational self-interest, individualism, and laissez-faire capitalism. Her works champion the power of the human mind and the moral right of individuals to pursue their own happiness. Rand’s heroes are often brilliant, uncompromising innovators who defy societal norms in favor of personal integrity and vision. Though her ideas have sparked passionate debate, she remains a central figure in American libertarian and conservative thought. Beyond fiction, Rand also wrote extensively on ethics, politics, and art, leaving behind a legacy that continues to influence readers, economists, and political leaders around the world.
