Daneesh Majid is a Hyderabad‑based author and writer who focuses on South Asian culture, security, and Urdu literature, and whose work has appeared in leading regional and international media outlets such as Mint Lounge, The Hindu Business Line, Express Tribune, The Wire, The News Minute, The Print, DailyO, The New Indian Express, The Nation (Pakistan), and Dhaka Tribune, showcasing his wide engagement with cultural and political topics across the subcontinent. He holds degrees from Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, reflecting a strong academic grounding in South Asian area studies.
