Born in 1972, he studied visual communication at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he developed a distinctive style that blends drawing, archival material, typography, and text. Banerjee rose to prominence with his pioneering graphic novel Corridor, followed by acclaimed works such as The Barn Owl’s Wondrous Capers, The Harappa Files, and All Quiet in Vikaspuri. His narratives often move fluidly between personal memory, political observation, and historical reflection, offering an ironic yet thoughtful lens on modern Indian society.
