Across decades and cities, A Good Family traces the lives of three generations of Indian women shaped by love, silence, and the weight of expectation.

From Chitra, uprooted from Kerala to a Delhi she never learns to call home, to her daughters Shuchi and Yamini, and finally to Tara, who grows up carrying what remains unspoken, this is a story of what families build, and what they quietly break.

As respectability, duty, and denial shape their choices, each woman must confront the cost of belonging to a family, to a place, and to herself. A Good Family is a deeply observed, unflinching portrait of how love, trauma, and silence echo across generations.
