Discover the multifaceted life of the late Dr Ayyappa Paniker, an influential figure who left an indelible mark on academia, literature, and the hearts of those he mentored. In Priyadas G. Mangalath’s compelling book, readers are invited to explore Paniker beyond his impressive credentials as a poet, literary critic, translator, and scholar. Priyadas views Paniker from the prism of his long interaction with his mentor, and offers rare insights into Paniker’s personality, especially his concern for students, his sincere appreciation for emerging writers and his ascetic indifference to fame and fortune. The book has won advance praise from K. Satchidanandan, poet, critic, and President, Kerala Sahitya Akademi, Amb. T.P. Sreenivasan, IFS (retd), and Jose Panachippuram, Editorial Director, Malayala Manorama. Whether you’re a student of literature, a follower of Malayalam poetry, or someone seeking inspiration from a life well-lived, this book is a must-read.
