Nora arrives in Sri Lanka hoping to leave her grief behind. But some wounds follow you, reshape you and demand to be faced. In the wild, breathing world of the south, she finds herself drawn into unexpected connections: Mel, lit with first-love hunger; Parker, an aid worker whose stillness is hard-won; and Kavindi, a magnetic artist who awakens something in her she thought was lost forever. As memory and longing collide, Nora must confront the truth: Healing isn t gentle, it can break you before it remakes you. With its atmospheric prose, Being Water is a powerful story about the tenderness and terror of transformation.
