She joined Medanta the Medicity, Delhi NCR, in 2010 and is currently the director of the respiratory department. She trained in Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi (MBBS, MD Medicine), and the UK (MRCP, CCST Respiratory Medicine). She worked with the NHS from 2000 to 2010, completed her master s in public health in 2022 from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and worked as a research consultant with the University College of London from 2024 to 2025. Dr Bornali feels passionately about health inequity and literacy. Her book In a Better Place: A Doctor s Journey (Bloomsbury India, 2022) explores the personal and professional lives of doctors seeking purpose, belonging and healing in life and medicine.
