The cubicle life in Mumbai is waiting, but the author has one rare, glorious summer to burn—a last, desperate spree of freedom before trading his worn-out shorts for business casual. Curry Summer is the travelogue of a man desperate to find an anchor before practicality pulls him under. His journey is a magnificent, chaotic odyssey across India—from a spiritual pilgrimage with his mother in Amritsar and diving into the political cacophony of Kolkata, to testing the bonds of brotherhood on Royal Enfield motorcycles across the high passes of Ladakh.
But as the miles pile up, so do the questions. What does legacy look like for someone who can’t even find matching socks? What if purpose isn’t a grand discovery but a slow accumulation of missed trains, late-night chai, and people who leave small, unshakeable imprints along the way?
In the end, Curry Summer is not just about where you travel, but what follows you home. A book, like a journey, never serves two people the same purpose. This is a story about finding your root, your voice, and realising that existential dread looks fantastic with a Himalayan backdrop.
Pranav Prattap Singh is the founder of Matraa Consultants Pvt. Ltd., a marketing agency that is primarily a political consultancy firm that has shaped campaigns for parties across the spectrum—INC, BJP, LJP, and AJSU—and leaders such as Chirag Paswan, Sudesh Mahto, and Jagdambika Pal. Before establishing Matraa in 2018, he honed his expertise in technology, business operations, and marketing through roles at ITC Infotech, ZS Associates, Future Group, and Jarvis Consulting.
An alumnus of NIT Patna (IT) and IIM Kashipur (PGDM), Pranav brings a rare blend of analytical training and creative strategy to both his professional and personal pursuits. Born and raised in Dhanbad, now based in Ranchi, he remains deeply connected to the cultural and political pulse of Jharkhand, along with a significant body of work in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra as well.
When not working, he can be found on a football field, running trails, or practising yoga—always seeking rhythm, balance, and perspective. Curry Summer is his debut book, weaving together travel, spirituality, human relations, politics, and reflection into a narrative of contemporary India.
