Feminism ushered in as the primary lens for analysing differences of power in the world and mdash;differences in culture, race, sexuality and gender. Exploring Feminisms: Essence and Ethos presents feminism as a dynamic, multi-faceted and adaptive movement that has evolved in response to the changing practical and theoretical problems faced by women. The sixteen essays in the anthology attempt to examine how feminism reconfigured the world for women and men alike. This multilayered book and mdash;lucidly written and theoretically exhilarating and mdash;would prove to be a useful read to the students and academics in gender studies, literature, cultural studies and a range of other disciplines. The scholarly essays add into the scope of literary discussion, a whole new range of women's experiences and predicaments.
