‘It was our last night sleeping beside the Ganga, and we rested with our chins in our hands, watching the river move silently past us, surging onward, India’s lifeblood, inexorable and irresistible.’

From the Indus to the Kaveri and the Ganga to the Brahmaputra, the rivers that flow across our land have enriched and defined it for centuries. Their bends and meanders have been home to countless stories, shaping our history, culture and religion.

Flowing with the Currents is a collection of Ruskin Bond’s writings that pay homage to the diversity of our land and its rivers. Journey down the stream of Ruskin Bond’s evocative prose as he captures in words the eddies and the waves, the crests and the troughs of the waters, and of life itself.
