Vaishali Shroff is an award-winning author based in Mumbai. She has published over 250 stories, fiction and non-fiction, with Indian and international publishers. She loves writing about unexplored places, untold histories, unsung people, and voiceless non-humans. She is the recipient of the AutHer award for Best Author - Children, 2022-2023 and is twice recipient of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators, USA, Fellowship, among other recognitions. She made her debut as a script writer with Rajasaur—An Indian Dinosaur Movie, which has won several awards at film festivals globally. Shroff has been invited as a speaker to literature festivals across the country, including a roundtable conference at The British Society for the History of Science. She loves talking to children over adults and wants to be an amaltas tree in her next life.
Priya Kuriyan is a children’s book writer-illustrator, comics maker and chronic doodler. She has directed educational films for the Sesame Street show (India) and the Children’s Film Society of India (CFSI) and has illustrated numerous children’s books for various publishers in India. Her most recent children’s picture book Beauty is Missing was published by Pratham Books,India. She lives and works in the city of Bangalore and in her spare time makes funny caricatures of its residents.
Designing for print, web and everything in-between, Rohina Thapar approaches her work as a self-reflective process and a quest to understand the bigger picture. With Art1st, she has designed books including the award-winning Art is a Verb, Abanindranath’s House of Stories, Eye Spy Indigenous Art and Art is a Voice.
