Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan is an award-winning author of over a dozen books published in India and the United States, and a National Film Award-winning voice-over artist. Her books include Indi-Alphabet (Mango and Marigold Press), winner of the purple Dragonfly Award for Cultural Diversity and It s Time to Rhyme (Aleph Book Company) which received the Publishing Next Best Children s Book of the Year 2022 (ages 8+) award. Prince with a Paintbrush: The Story of Raja Ravi Varma (Red Panda/ Westland) was selected by Beyond the Box Kids as 2022 Best Book of the Year and was even used as a clue on the TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati? (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?). Shobha has written for all ages, including illustrated rhyming picture books like Parvati the Elephant s Very Important Day (HarperCollins) and Good Innings (Penguin Books), a work of adult non-fiction. Her books take on a wide variety of themes, from the environmental framework of Sandalwood s Story (Wonderhouse) to a book on idioms, Look Before You Leap (Red Panda/Westland). Shobha s books have been anthologized and excerpted in school texts, and are often included in school curricula in India. Two have been translated into Malayalam.
