For centuries, a tiny, unknown kingdom tucked away inside the abdomen of a dense forest in the Vindhyas lay hidden—silent, self-contained, untouched. But in the early 17th century, that silence is shattered. Without warning, the mighty Mughal Empire casts its shadow over this remote land, threatening its very existence. Jahangir’s Messenger unfolds at this critical turning point in history. The tale races through a world of shifting power and peril, where palace intrigues brew, secrets stir within the Mughal harem, and politics take deadly turns. Every corner of this richly imagined landscape is steeped in the textures of its time—its laws, its violence, its ambitions, and its betrayals. Yet beneath the grandeur and conflict lies the human heart. Love and lust, tyranny and courage, avarice and idealism—these forces collide in a sweeping narrative that delves into the raw truths of a civilization at war with itself.
