About the Author

The Author Sumi Chandrasekharan grew up in Bombay and has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Reading to her own children inspired her to adapt and write this story that she had heard as a young child. She holds a Master’s degree in early childhood education, and is a teacher trainer and yoga enthusiast. The Illustrator Zafouko Yamamoto is an illustrator living and working in Greece. She has been drawing since she was a child. Zafouko loves animals, chewing gum, and illustrating for children’s books, of course!
