About the Author
Riddhi Maniar Doda grew up in the megalopolis of Mumbai, where stories could be found in every conversation and every corner. She headed the content department of various organizations, after graduating with a major in visualization from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art and post graduating in copywriting. Her other children’s books include The Boy Who Wore Bangles, Drip Drip Lick Lick Meow Meow and 64 Squares With Dada. When not writing, you can find Riddhi raiding her son’s bookshelf!
Vinayak Varma is the author-illustrator of The Sunshower Song, Angry Akku, Jadav and the Tree-Place, and Up Down, among other picture books. He was the editor of the science fiction anthology Strange Worlds! Strange Times!, and the founding editor and art director of Brainwave, a science magazine for young readers. His illustrations have appeared in magazines like Interzone, Soup, and Dark & Light, as well as in several YA and children's books, including The Tenth Rasa, Phiss! Phuss! Boom!, The Vampire Boy, and Goodnight and God Bless. He is a recipient of The Young World-Goodbooks Award, the Publishing Next Digital Book of the Year Award, and the Federation of Indian Publishers' First Prize for Excellence in Book Production, and has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize and the BSFA Award. Vinayak lives in Bangalore with his partner Yamini and their feline overlord Monkey. When not drawing or writing or plotting to start trade unions, Vinayak makes strange and dystopian synth-driven soundscapes for his solo music project Moral Panic Button.
