About the Author

KAVITA EZEKIEL MENDONCA, daughter of Nissim and Daisy Ezekiel, was born and raised in a Bene-Israel Jewish family in Bombay, India. Strongly influenced by her father’s work, Kavita’s own poems have appeared in numerous anthologies, in journals, and in two collections - Family Sunday and Other Poems (1989; second edition, 1990) and Light of The Sabbath (2021). 



VINITA AGRAWAL’S latest collection of poems Twilight Language won the Proverse Prize Hongkong 2021, the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize 2018, and the Gayatri GaMarsh Memorial Award for Literary Excellence, USA, 2015. The author of five books of poetry, her work was shortlisted for the inaugural Deepankar Khiwani Memorial Prize 2021 and received a special mention in the Hawkers Prize 2019.
