Review
“Yehuda and Maya’s funny and charming autobiographical cartoons depicting the highs, the lows, and all the in-betweens of married life, and more recently family life, have been delighting the Internet for years. It’s no surprise that the moments in these comics are what life is truly all about.”—J. Scott Campbell
“One of Those Days takes the simple, everyday experiences of Maya and Yehuda (and every couple in the world) and gorgeously tells a story in one panel. It’s funny, beautiful, sometimes sad—but, most of all, it's real.”—Rob DenBleyker, creator of Cyanide & Happiness
“A must-own collection . . . Yehuda and Maya bring the quirks of relationships to life with raw honesty, using beautifully illustrated and hilarious comics. It’s a pleasure to see their depiction of the good, the bad, and the ugly side of love.”—Nick Seluk, creator of The Awkward Yeti
“Bursting with life . . . We get to know them through one-panel installments as though they’ve walked straight into the room, introduced themselves, and moved in.”—Kate Beaton, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Hark! A Vagrant
“One of Those Days is the cure for cynicism, and boy do we need it right now.”—Zach Weinersmith, co-author of the New York Times bestseller Soonish
About the Author
Yehuda and Maya Devir are married Israeli comic artists and the creators of the popular webcomics One of Those Days. The hyperenergetic Yehuda Devir “makes the ants look lazy,” according to Maya. He discovered his love for drawing in infancy, when he began painting on his bedroom walls, and was particularly influenced by American comics and film. Maya Devir is a “goddess in a form of a woman who spreads joy wherever she goes,” according to Yehuda. She is a realist artist and the One of Those Days art director and specializes in the art of teasing Yehuda. The couple both studied visual communication at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. Today they live and work in in their small, quiet apartment with their new baby girl, Ariel.
