The Martha Farrell Foundation (MFF) has been set up to carry forward the spirit and legacy of Dr Martha Farrell, a passionate civil society leader, renowned and respected in India and around the world for her work on women’s rights, gender equality and adult education. Martha was killed in a terrorist attack in Kabul in May 2015 while she was there to conduct a gender training programme for the Aga Khan Foundation.
The Foundation is committed to supporting organizations to comply with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, and creating gender-sensitive, safe workplaces for all employees. The Foundation’s ‘Making Workplaces Safe’ programme advances Martha’s pioneering work on gender mainstreaming and prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace through sensitization and awareness-generation activities, workshops and training programmes, and the creation of learning–training materials tailor-made to suit the needs of individuals and organizations across private, public, government and educational sectors. Between 2015 and 2018, the Foundation trained more than 30,000 employees across different stakeholders. The Foundation also acts as a third-party/external member on the Internal Committees of several organizations.
If you are interested in conducting a workshop at your workplace, give us a call or send us an email (details below).
