About the Author

Joginder Paul (1925-2016) published numerous Urdu short story collections and novels, including Ek Boond Lahoo ki (1964) and Nadeed (1983). His numerous awards include the SAARC Lifetime Award & the Iqbal Samman.

Sukrita Paul Kumar is an author, poet and translator, and the guest editor of Indian Literature (Sahitya Akademi) since 2022.

Rushaan Kumar, associate professor, Feminist and Gender Studies, Colorado College, USA, is founder director of the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ Oral History Project.
