Whether you're a fourth grader doing a natural science unit at school or a thirty-year-old with a secret passion for airplanes, these books are for you!

In this volume, Zip, an enthusiastic beaked whale, is eager to share everything he can about whale pods by broadcasting his very own undersea podcast! About the Author

Casey Zakroff is a marine ecophysiologist (he studies how animals' bodies function and interact with their environment), researching how stress impacts marine invertebrates (especially squid and other cephalopods!). He is also an avid science communicator, and, now, comics author. Growing up on the coasts of Florida and Maine, he pursued a passion for the ocean, going tidepooling and whale watching, and eventually scuba diving in reefs across the world. He has a PhD in Biological Oceanography from MIT and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), which he was working on when he wrote Science Comics: Whales, his first graphic novel.

Pat Lewis is a freelance cartoonist/illustrator who lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and two cats. His artwork has appeared in magazines such as Highlights for Children and Boys’ Life, as well as books by Workman Publishing, Macmillan and McGraw-Hill. Some of his favorite things in this world are: flea markets, road trips, monster movies and snack-bar nachos. Oh, and drawing funny pictures for kids and adults.
