Still Bombay is his visual and verbal tribute to a city that hovers forever between collapse and hope. Captions, asides and essays alternate with the photographs and enable the reader to grasp the city as an interconnected network of narratives, neighbourhoods and lives. The design of the book brings forward a parallel narrative, walking the reader through the pages as the author did through the neighbourhood.

About the Author
Mayur Tekchandaney is a designer, artist, and writer. He graduated from Parsons School of Design in Communication Design, in New York city. After a stint at the graphic design company Deepend NYC, he returned to India and worked as design director at MTV India. After this, Tekchandaney started his own production house, and has directed over a hundred adverts for some of India’s best-known brands. He is currently a designer at his own firm, working at the intersection between design and behavioural science.
