It's August 2019 and Khwab Nazir is waiting to board the plane at Terminal 3 of New Delhi International Airport. Set to represent India at an international jiu-jitsu tournament, Khwab nervously looks towards her unknown future. She also reflects on her complicated past-of growing up against the insurmountable difficulties
of life in Kashmir.
Between happiness and emptiness, desire and grief, penance and peace-Khwab has endured. She has a dream that life will be a paradise, one day. Breathing against the backdrop of conflict, Terminal 3, is the story of the everyday people striving to live their dreams in the Valley.
Debasmita Dasgupta is an internationally published, Kirkus Best Prize nominated illustrator, graphic novelist, and a screenwriter. She was born in Kolkata and lived in Singapore for more than a decade. Currently, she lives in the United Kingdom.
Debasmita enjoys drawing both fiction and non-fiction for children and young adults. She has illustrated over twenty picture books, comics and poems working with publishers across the globe.
She has also illustrated animated stories that have been showcased in the Raindance Film Festival, in London and Toronto. As an art-for-change advocate, she tells stories of changemakers from around the world partnering with global non-profits. Her art has been exhibited around the world and more than forty international media outlets have featured it. Debasmita mentors aspiring and emerging visual storytellers in Asia.
