A career diplomat, now retired, Sudhir Vyas has pursued his passion for birdwatching for over 50 years around Delhi, elsewhere in India, and overseas as well, including in some of India’s neighbouring countries that he had the opportunity to serve in. He knows the birds of Delhi well, and has authored several articles and studies on the ornithology of the Delhi area. He’s also the author of a monograph on the subject published in the scholarly journal Indian Birds.

A wildlife and bird photographer who has documented 377 avian species in Haryana and over a thousand internationally, Amit Sharma’s work has featured in books such as the Birds of Haryana and 100 Best Birdwatching Sites in India, as well as in leading national newspapers. He has photographed some of the rarest birds seen in the Delhi region. Internationally, his work on documenting Ethiopian wildlife has featured in a wildlife film broadcast on Ethiopia’s national TV network. An adventure enthusiast at heart,he also enjoys trekking and has climbed three 6,000metre peaks in India.
