Paritosh M. Chakrabarti, DSc, is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of PMC Group Companies Inc., a Mount Laurel, NJ- based industrial enterprise. Starting from scratch in 1994, PMC Group grew into a billion-plus-dollar global chemical and pharmaceutical business by 2023.

Though Dr Chakrabarti spent most of his career in the corporate world, he never ceased to be an educator. A scientist with unfailing trust in the process of science, Dr Chakrabarti did not neglect the other side of life—the spiritual and the moral side. His reasoned belief in a higher purpose of human life also made him a thoughtful philanthropist. His philanthropy supports cultural integration, education, interreligious harmony, and global peace.
