From the names of countries, people, animals, and so much more. He was born in London and lives in the South East of England. Name Explain came into being from Patrick’s love of language and his curiosity into finding answers for questions that lingered in his brain. Through his work on Youtube Patrick started writing books on his beloved topic of etymology. His first title The Origin on Names, Words, and Everything in Between went on to become a number one seller across the globe. When Patrick isn’t explaining names, he is usually playing video games, watching professional wrestling, building LEGO sets, or tending to his pet tortoise Bowser.
