As the queen of Jhansee prepares to fight the powerful British, her brave lady-in-waiting and companion, Chandraki, is sent on a mission that has the power to turn the tide. Telling the thrilling story of 1857 through the lives of two extraordinary women - Maharani Lakshmibai and Chandraki - The Queen's Last Salute is historical fiction at its best.

Review

Having two queens in the storyline makes the book a real bully pulpit for women! It is very interesting to learn how efficiently queens ruled during those days. Indeed..the storyline is thrusting with the emblishment of extensive vocabulary! It cohered me till end which makes it an excellent read. It's truly a female protagonist novel however the male- character of Riyaz Khan is strikingly arresting!Shalu Hora
