Zîn celebrates the ultimate truth of the will to live. And to love. -- N.S. MADHAVAN

While Haritha Savithri fits countless characters as well as bottomless pain into a period of a few months, she actually brings to light the hundred years of loneliness and suffering of the Kurds. She tells the story of the Kurdish requiem affecting every part of the Middle East at a time when even the most visible problems are ignored. If literature is a call to remember the forgotten and bring the ignored back to life, Savithri sets out to do this in Zin with an affectionate language. -- BURHAN SONMEZ, president, PEN International and author, Istanbul, Istanbul and Stone and Shadow
