Priya Bala is writer specializing in food. She is a restaurant critic of repute and the author of Foodprints: A Trail of Meals & Memories. She has forayed into cooking in professional settings and runs Yo Colombo, a Sri Lankan food brand, based on the principles of sustainability. As a chef and writer, she is uniquely placed to understand the food industry.
Jayanth Narayanan began his career in the corporate world and was later drawn to the restaurant industry, with all its challenges and thrills. An enterprising restaurateur, he runs Mani’s Dum Biryani, the popular quick service restaurant brand. Jayanth is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani, and holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Together, Priya and Jayanth have co-authored Start Up Your Restaurant and Secret Sauce: Inspiring Stories of Great Indian Restaurants.
