About the Author

Martha Millman, M.D. is an emeritus physician in public health and general preventive medicine. During her decades-long career, Dr. Millman also specialized in undersea and hyperbaric medicine. As an assistant professor of Preventive Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. Millman researched the effect of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on common health conditions and injuries.

Cindy Kermott, M.D., M.P.H is a public health and general preventive medicine specialist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In addition to serving in the Mayo Clinic’s Executive Health Program, Dr. Kermott also holds the position of medical director of the Preventative Services Clinic in Rochester. In 2013, Dr. Kermott was elected a fellow to the American College of Preventive Medicine and has previously served as a member of the Minnesota Medical Association.
