Acclaimed cartoonist and children’s nature writer team up to deliver their best book yet
Eighteen-year-old Chunmun is an avid bird watcher, just like her super cool uncle Bikky who is an ornithologist. When she wins an explorer’s grant from a wildlife magazine, her dream of going on an expedition across India finally comes true. Join Chunmun on her adventures as she photographs, writes and learns about all the new creatures she spots.
Rohan Chakravarty is a cartoonist, illustrator and the creator of Green Humour, a series of cartoons, comics and illustrations on wildlife and nature conservation. Cartoons from Green Humour appear periodically in newspaper columns, magazines and journals. Illustrations from Green Humour have been used for several projects and campaigns on wildlife awareness and climate change. Rohan is also the author of seven books (including the Penguin publications Green Humour for a Greying Planet, Naturalist Ruddy and Pugmarks and Carbon Footprints) and has won awards by UNDP, Sanctuary Asia, WWF International, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Bangalore Literature Festival for his work.He is notorious for rolling up into a ball like a pangolin to avoid answering the phone or meeting people.
When Bijal Vachharajani is not reading a children’s book, she’s writing or editing one. She’s the author of multiple planet-friendly books including A Cloud Called Bhura, Savi and the Memory Keeper – both of which won the Author Award and When Fairyland Lost Its Magic, which won the Kalinga Award. A commissioning editor at Pratham Books, she has been a journalist, an animal rescuer and managed a magazine. Now she’s mostly a climate worrier.
