Dr Ajay Data is an entrepreneur, technologist and global internet leader, known for his pioneering work in multilingual internet, artificial intelligence and enterprise communication technologies. He serves as the Managing Director of the Data Group of Industries, which operates diverse ventures in technology, edible oils and enterprise solutions.

Ajay holds the distinction of being India’s first elected member of the ccNSO Council of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), where he contributed significantly to global internet policymaking. He also co-chaired the Neo-Brahmi Generation Panel, which created the official language rules for domain names in Indian scripts—rules that are now embedded in the Root Zone of the Domain Name System (DNS), enabling a truly multilingual internet.

He is globally recognized for launching the world’s first linguistic email platform supporting addresses in Indian languages, bringing digital inclusion to millions.
