On a day like any other a retired professor experiences discomfort in his throat. He goes to the hospital thinking it's a minor infection but it turns out to be something far more serious. Endless tests later he hears the word 'cancer'. What was meant to be a happy and content retired life of an elderly couple is rudely interrupted and his family is suddenly thrown on a roller-coaster ride of hope and despair courage and fear.
